WOrkstations!!!
We have 9 different workstations! We do one workstation a day that usually last about 45 minutes to an  hour!!  That is a big chunk of time for a kindergartener!!!
My goal with workstations is to teach independence! : 1. they must stay in thier seats. 2. they can choose the order in which they do their activities but they must complete all of the activities in their station (usually 3-4 things) and 3. if they don't know what to do they have to first look at the instructions, if that doesn't work they ask their partner and if they still need help they can then raise their hand and ask for help!
Every 2 weeks the workstations are changed to fit our unit and the activities will get increasingly harder as the year goes on!
