Gingerbread Man in Disguise

We had a great holiday but now we are back hard at work!!! For our first unit Of January I thought that it would be fun to do lots of gingerbread stuff!!! The kids love the story! As a take home project we asked the kids to help the Gingerbread Man by giving him a disguise!  This is what they came up with!!! AWESOME!!!

How would you make the Grinch grin?

Santa & Mrs. Claus

Today we had some very special visitors!  Santa & Mrs Claus!  Almost everyone climbed in Santa's lap and told them what they wanted for christmas!

Thanks for stopping by to see us Santa & Mrs. Claus (who revealed to us that her first name is really Jessica  Jessica Claus)!

Pinata

As the second half of Christmas in Mexico, the spanish class also donated pinata's that they had made!  Thanks so much to everyone that sent candy!  Our lion (yes i was told that it was a lion) was a bit small so we made an extra pinata out of paper sacks!  Everyone had a swing at the pinatas before they were broken!

Christmas in Mexico!

The high school spanish 3 class visited to teach us about Las Posadas (christmas in Mexico)!  They taught us some carols and made us some mini maracas and taught us the Mexican Hat dance.  As always the kids (kinders and seniors) LOVED it!
Shaking our maracas with cascabelas (jingle bells) and Feliz Navidad!
